D.O.P.E Dog Training covers Staffordshire from a base in Macclesfield, working with owners across the Moorlands, the Potteries, and the towns and villages in between. Sessions are private and one to one, in your home and on your own walks, and the owner is trained alongside the dog every time.
Staffordshire covers a lot of ground and a lot of different dog lives: smallholdings and stock, moorland walks, canal towpaths, town streets and everything in between. The training is built around the life your dog actually lives, not a generic curriculum.
Recall where it matters
Open ground is wonderful and unforgiving in equal measure. A dog who comes back in the garden but not on the moor has a recall that only works when it is not needed. We build it in layers: name response, engagement, distance, distraction, and then the real thing with all four running at once.
Where to start
Everything starts with an Assessment. We look at the dog, the household and the routine, then recommend the right level of the D.O.P.E System, which runs over eight, ten or twelve one-to-one sessions.

Travel, and the residential option
Staffordshire sits at the far side of our patch, so we are realistic about the journey. Some clients prefer fewer, longer sessions. Others choose residential training, where the dog stays with Chris, does the concentrated work, and comes home with the handover taught to you rather than simply described. Home boarding is available to dogs already training with us.
For one specific problem, a MasterClass on lead walking, recall or calm living at home may be all you need.
