Four steps. Fifteen sessions. One clear outcome.
A dog you can trust, and an owner who can lead.
Aggression Assessment, £150.
A 1.5-hour Assessment of triggers, history and handling before any programme begins. If your dog is showing aggressive behaviours, don’t wait for the next incident.
Aggression isn’t dominance.
It’s confusion, fear, over-arousal, or a learned response that’s been rehearsed for too long. At D.O.P.E Dog Training, we don’t “fix” aggression. We teach owners how to prevent, interrupt and redirect it with clarity, calmness and confidence.
This is a handler-focused programme designed for owners who are ready to take responsibility, take control and take action.
Our philosophy
Aggression changes when the handler becomes consistent, the dog becomes clear, and the environment becomes structured. You cannot “command” aggression away. But you can eliminate the reasons it appears.
We don’t teach dogs to “behave”. We teach owners to lead, because a clear handler creates a safe dog. This programme is structured, progressive and built for real lives, not theory.
The Aggression Rehabilitation Programme
15 sessions | £1125
A single, complete system for dogs who growl, lunge, snap, bite, guard or act unpredictably around dogs, people, resources or environments. Built around four critical stages that train the owner and reshape the dog’s behaviour from the inside out.
Step 1: Discover. Understanding and interrupting aggression.
Foundation and reset phase. Identifying the true triggers (fear, frustration, guarding, pain, stress); prescribing structure at home to reduce overwhelm and uncertainty; early neutrality drills to break the “see trigger, react” pattern; immediate interrupt strategies for safe, controlled handling; handler emotional control, tone, posture and timing; breaking the reinforcement loops that maintain aggression.
Outcome: safety, structure and clarity. You gain a system to stop aggressive performances before they start.
Step 2: Optimize. Rebuilding control and stability.
Reactivity reduction and behaviour replacement. Lead handling that prevents tension and escalation; controlled exposure with distance, angle and pressure management; replacing explosive responses with dependable, rehearsed behaviours; impulse control and threshold training; neutrality training around movement, dogs, people and noise.
Outcome: your dog becomes calmer, more predictable and far easier to control in real-world situations.
Step 3: Perfect. Real-world behaviour proofing.
Turning skills into reliability. Working safely at closer distances to triggers; high-distraction obedience and recovery drills; public-space neutrality (paths, parks, café spaces); confidence building without conflict; teaching the dog to think before reacting.
Outcome: your dog learns that reacting is no longer necessary. You handle the environment, they follow your lead.
Step 4: Excel. Long-term stability and handler mastery.
Sustaining change and eliminating relapse. Long-term routines and lifestyle structure; crisis management strategies for unexpected situations; off-lead preparation (only where safe and appropriate); home behaviour refinement (resource guarding, visitors, thresholds); transitioning from “training” to “normal life”.
Outcome: a dog with stable behaviour, a handler with real control, and a life without fear, panic or constant management.

Real talk
Aggression doesn’t “go away”. It gets replaced, with clarity, boundaries and better choices. Your dog isn’t dangerous. They’re confused, unstructured or stressed. You can change this, and this programme gives you a clear, step-by-step path to do it.
If your dog is showing aggressive behaviours, don’t wait for the next incident. Start the process that brings safety, clarity and confidence back into your home.
